A blend of 66% fine composted bark and 34% PAS100 certified green waste compost
The bark fines are mixed conifer, predominantly spruce generated by dedicated chipping, milling and screening operations
Over 90% of particles fall within a range of 0-10mm
The Bark Fines are formed into windrows, turned using a dedicated windrow turner and composted for an 8-10 week period
Once the bark fines are fully composted the PAS100 green waste compost is blended, along with additional nutrients specific to customer’s needs and demands
Contains minimal white wood, normally within 10% (by mass)
Moisture content in the range of 55-65% (green weight basis), subject to seasonal variations
The weight/volume ratio (bulk density) is normally in the range of 350-550Kg/m3
The pH range is between 6.0 and 8.0
Manufactured from materials sourced 100% within the British Isles, thus completely free of any trace of methyl bromide contamination
All practical measures are taken to remove foreign matter such as metal, glass, plastic and any other extraneous materials
Brown/black in colour with the feel and consistency of peat
Durable, long lasting and free from pathogens, pests and weed seeds
